2) Shohreh Shadalou was named the Student Winner for the Illumination section of the International Optical Design Conference design competition (held once every 4 years) this summer:

Shohreh Shadalou also was a Finalist for the “Best Student Paper” award (International Optical Design Conference) at the OSA Optical Design and Fabrication Congress this summer.
