SouthEast Quantum Workshop

Event Details:

Date: October 25th-26th, 2025

Location: Cone University Center- 9025 University Rd, Charlotte, NC 28223

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, in collaboration with NC State University, is organizing a regional workshop in quantum computing for graduate students and researchers in the southeastern United States. This hybrid event will take place both in-person and virtually on October 25th-26th. It will provide an opportunity for graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career faculty to showcase their work and network with other quantum computing researchers in the Southeast. There are opportunities for in-person attendees to participate in a poster session.

No-Host Social @ Optimist Hall

If you are going via public transportation, please meet at the JW Clay Blvd Station by 6:45pm. Train departs station at 6:55pm. A guide will be posted at the station.

Getting to campus:

  • Walking – The hotels listed below are all within walking distance of campus.
  • Public transport – There are two light rail stops for the campus, the JW Clay Blvd station and the UNC Charlotte station. There are also multiple bus routes that can stop near campus.
  • Driving – You can drive around campus, but parking can be difficult at times. Check the Visitor parking map on the UNC Charlotte website (https://pats.charlotte.edu/parking/parking-maps/). The CRI deck on the west side of campus near the JW Clay Blvd light rail station always has spots available. From there, you can take the free Niner Transit Silver Route bus to the rest of campus.

Getting around campus:

Walking or biking – The campus is walkable but fairly large, and there are some hills.
